Paris itself is arguably the most amazing antiques show and sale in the world. From the famous Marché aux Puce (Flea Market) on the outskirts of town to displays of marvelous collections in glorious townhouses, then on to prestigious shops for purchasing museum-quality examples of your own!

Holiday Shopping in France:  shop window displays in Paris are always a treat--whether they be those of the grande dames like Galeries Lafayette and Fauchon or small, out-of-the-way boutiques brimming with imaginative arrangements of their offerings--but never so much as during the end-of-the-year holidays. As you can see, even after the stores are closed, the delight remains. Perhaps it's the anticipation of the holidays or the nouveau beaujolais, but whatever the reason, Paris in December is a shoppers' paradise!
