What's a France-Shop-n-Tour? That's where my people, Mark and Adela Meadows, veteran antiques dealers and owners of The Meadows Collection, take five or six fellow shoppers along with them as they scour various regions of France for antiques and other goodies. They have over twenty years of experience
exploring the wonders of France and traveling with them is definitely not your normal tour. I'll let them tell you the rest.
We'd like to add that our tours are
much more like an "un-tour".
We individualize the experience so that whether your idea of shopping is to come back with just a T-shirt, or you're a serious collector or professional antiques dealer, our France-Shop-n-Tours are a perfect fit. And of course it's more than just shopping--we dine, sightsee, soak up the culture, and explore our way through various regions of France. We want you to experience the very best of France and

Always small, personal, and individually-tailored to your specific interests and budget, our tours are more like traveling with a knowledgeable friend. They are in-depth tours; you are not being constantly shuttled from place to place--we give you all the time you want to truly enjoy what you are experiencing. We're all about organized spontaneity; each day's itinerary is not rigidly set in stone. We have absolutely no vested interest in any airline, hotel, or merchant. We can make all the necessary travel arrangements for you or you can use your regular travel agent--either way, we are with you every step of the way to make sure that you have an experience that is tailored to be the very best for you.
We travel in an air-conditioned van and your tour includes all costs related to the van, including the driver, the fuel, parking, tolls, etc., all entrance fees to museums, châteaux, concerts, special events, and antique and brocante fair admissions, plus a Welcome to France dinner at one of our favorite restaurants. Also included: shopping and shipping advice--we can teach you how to bargain in French! You'll find our tours to be extremely cost-effective. The specific cost varies, of course, depending upon the destination, duration, time of year, type of accomodation you desire, etc., but since you are going where you want to go, doing what you want to do, eating what you want to eat, and staying in the hotel of your choosing, there are no wasted days or expenses.
We are The Meadows Collection. We have been professional antiques dealers for over twenty years. You may have been to our shop or seen us at an antiques show. Perhaps you remember us from various television and radio appearances, read about us in national antiques journals, read any of the numerous articles we've written on antiques...or even enjoyed our book "Quimper Pottery...a Guide to Origins, Styles, and Values." We also publish a couple of e-zines: MeadowsCollection.com and OldQuimper.com; where you will find informative articles about antiques in general and Quimper pottery in particular. In addition to being Square Trade Travel Certified, we are members of the AADA (Associated Antiques Dealers of America), and proudly adhere to their standards of ethics.
